Plant Sterols — 400mg

Plant sterols (also called phytosterols) are naturally occurring compounds found in small amounts in plants, nuts, and seeds. Each daily serving of two capsules provides 400mg of plant sterols. Plant sterols work by competing with cholesterol for absorption in the gut, which can reduce the amount of dietary cholesterol that enters the bloodstream. They are included here because they are a well-studied, food-derived compound with a long safety record.

Beetroot (Beta vulgaris) — 1,300mg

We use a concentrated 10:1 Beta vulgaris (beetroot) extract, delivering 1,300mg per daily serving of two capsules — equivalent to 13,000mg of fresh beetroot. Beetroot is a natural source of dietary nitrates, betalains (the pigments that give it that deep crimson colour), and fibre.

Our beetroot extract is sourced for provenance and purity and standardised to deliver a consistent serving. It serves as the natural, food-derived matrix in which the plant sterols are delivered — a whole-food approach rather than an isolated synthetic ingredient.
